The group is known for its campaign against the Affordable Care Act, opposition to a $35 cap on insulin, and propaganda like the climate denial film “An Inconvenient Truth or a Convenient Fiction?”

PRI received $2,082,800 in donations from Koch-related foundations between 1986 to 2018. More recently, the Charles Koch Foundation gave the organization $100,000 in 2019 — as well as smaller donations in 2021 and 2022 — and the Charles Koch Institute gave a combined total of over $300,000 in 2020 and 2021. The organization is also an affiliate member of the Koch-linked State Policy Network.
