The Catholic Association Foundation (CAF) is a group tied to key leaders of Leo’s court capture network: Neil and Ann Corkery. CAF is an anti-abortion group that gave $500,000 to the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which has routinely claimed to have about 7,500 members even though its IRS filings seem to indicate that it has fewer than 500 dues-paying members out of the more than 57,000 licensed OB-GYN doctors practicing in the U.S., or about 1%. AAPLOG is notorious for promoting discredited claims about abortion and birth control, including the widely debunked assertion that abortion leads to breast cancer. It was one of the plaintiffs in FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine — the litigation that continues to threaten access to the abortion pill mifepristone. CAF also filed an amicus brief.
